The Regional Chamber of Skilled Crafts Association, Haskovo organized the first study visit of the 4th INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION project

The Regional Chamber of Skilled Crafts Association, Haskovo hosted the first study visit within the project 4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, co-financed by the INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Cooperation Programme. It took place in the period 27-28 March 2023 and was attended by representatives of the partneringorganisations from Greece – the Association of Information Technology Companies in Northern Greece (SEPVE) and the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH).

In two consecutive days, visits to local companies were organized to exchange experiences and identify opportunities for cooperation. The event started with a visit to the innovative start-up company AMC Ltd. Kardzhali which is producing medical supplies. During the visit to the factory the participants showed considerable interest in the innovative product, the technologies used and asked a significant number of questions of various nature. These were responded personally by the owner Mr. Yalchin and members of the team involved in development and production. Of particular interest among the participants was the company’s R&D activities, including the development of its own model technology for 3D printing.

The next day the visit continued with a visit to Yazaki’s factory in Haskovo – a leading manufacturer of cable installations for the automotive industry, with main customers the automotive manufacturers Renault, Ford and Daimler. Representatives of the management team of the Japanese company made a comprehensive and intriguing presentation of the activities of the enterprise, as well as took the group on a tour of the production areas. Discussions were held with the managers of various departments and various issues of mutual interest were discussed.

The visit ended with a visit to one of the largest tailoring enterprises in Haskovo – Delena Ltd, a representative of one of the traditional industries in the region. The company specializes in the production of clothing for both domestic and international markets, and its portfolio covers the production and trade of sports, casual and workwear. Managers from the company presented in detail the technological process, as well as the process of reaching the production to the end user.

At the end of the visit, the participants had a short discussion and made a summary of the meetings and discussions.
